AWARENESS!! Xcel Planned Power Outage - Wednesday, December 17th at 12pm

Hello, 

 

Please be advised that Xcel Energy is considering a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) for Wednesday, December 17th, beginning at 12pm. This planned power outage is due to a predicted strong wind event, temperatures above seasonal averages, and dry fuels leading to increased wildfire risk. 

 

The duration of the PSPS could be 24-36 hours with possibly an additional 48-72 hours for power to return. Please plan accordingly with non-perishables, rechargeable power banks / batteries, and other items that you may need during an extended power outage. Please see the attached link with more things to consider during an extended outage. 

 

Please email distri...@fourmilefire.org and ch...@fourmilefire.org or call 303-449-3333 to communicate special considerations - do you need power for medical equipment, etc. We are building a list of folks in the community to check on during planned/unplanned outages. We have limited resources but will do our best to assist you ahead of the outage and for the duration of the outage. Assistance may include 'patrols' of the district from 9am - 5pm due to limited 911 access.
