The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 1100 until Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 1800.

Open burning including agricultural burning is Prohibited beginning Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 12:01AM through Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 11:59PM

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 6 PM MST WEDNESDAY

FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE URBAN CORRIDOR...

 

The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Red Flag

Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect

from 11 AM to 6 PM MST Wednesday. 

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 238, 239, 240, 242, 243 and

  245.

* TIMING...From 11 AM to 6 PM MST Wednesday.

* WINDS...West 20 to 40 mph with gusts 60 to 80 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...15 to 25 percent.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread.

  Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a

  spark and start a wildfire.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions

are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of

strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can

contribute to extreme fire behavior.
