As soon as it starts for the first time, it suggests downloading indexes and driverpacks(archives with drivers). You can download all driverpacks(over 12 GB) for offline use or download only indexes(10 MB) in order to see which driverpacks you actually need for your current PC. Downloading the whole package is recommended if you want to put it on your USB flash drive or external HDD and use it as a portable tool to install drivers on many PCs. If you want to install drivers only on your PC, you're better off downloading only indexes.
Snappy Driver Installer has an internal torrent client, so you'll be able to download drivers at the top speed. Each time you run Snappy Driver Installer, it checks for updates and you'll be notified when updated software or driverpacks become available and you'll be able to download them via the app itself.
Snappy Driver Installer is an application for installing/updating drivers on PCs running Microsoft Windows using driverpacks or included folders with drivers. I have SPI version 02 R142. It is prompting me to update driverpacks. 15 of them and the index. When I try and do so, nothing happens. The logs imply that this is done via bittorrent? If that is so it is likely that my router will be blocking that.
I know it portable and won't leave records in registry (and check it in hyper-v winxp). It just integration in PAF launcher.
In future i will make small-usbdrive version (download driverpacks only to user's global temp folder and erase it after program's closing)
Why you don't want to let users(especially PC technicians) keep driverpacks between sessions so that they don't have to download them over and over again when they're using it on multiple PCs. Also the Internet may be unavailable due to missing drivers.
This edition differs from the original distribution only by the parameters start (Configuration and driverpacks located in DATA) and when running the downloaded an updated application freshly renamed (the old application is removed, everything else is saved).
The version for the small size of flash drives I do in addition to the already existing (not instead of). I still have not decided whether this version delete downloaded after installation.
That's obviously going to be a problem, stop worrying about the switch and fix your device drivers first. Let windows auto-install the correct driver if the installer you found online doesn't work, or use Snappy Driver Installer (the only driver installer I know of that is actually not a scam, but does what you expect it to do)
HALLELUJAH! It was a bad driver incorrectly configured by the driver installer I -was- using. Every time I tried to download the new drivers my driver installer overrid me and downloaded the old crap one, thus it kept breaking. Uninstalling the old one and manually downloading the Intel complete pack ( here: -ethernet-adapter-complete-driver-pack.html?wapkw=Intel%20network%20adapter%20driver%20for%20windows%2010%20professional ) fixed it instantly.
We're all done here - thank you so much to everyone! Kudos!
