Hello! My name is Matthew Porter and I’m writing to be a part of your upcoming project!
I’m a hard working professional actor here in New York and a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts(CAP-21) and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. I’m looking to expand my professional network by working on artistic and exciting projects with new casts, crews and you! I’ve performed in numerous productions of new and original musicals and plays here in the city and around the world. I’ve voiced animations for Cartoon Network and I’ve performed under the direction of Sir Jonathan Miller at Lincoln Center. I also have several commercials under my belt (you can see a mash up reel of them on my site). Needless to say, I have a wealth of professional acting experience. When I’m not in the spotlight on stage or screen, I work on 30 Rock with Alec Baldwin as his stand-in/photo double/line reader. Great fun as you can imagine. I also recently worked with director Peter Berg on his Hulu.com commercial and Nancy Meyers on her upcoming It’s Complicated. At the bottom of this email, please find a link to my personal website. It will contain recent headshots and a resume to give you a better sense of what I look like and my performing experience(I know some folks are wary about computer viruses with attachments).
