The television production team consists of himself, a chief engineer, a part-time school employee and contributions from members of the school's communications club and film club. The film club is currently producing a program on veterans.
The modern day school of chiropractic dates back to 1895, when Dr. Daniel Palmer adjusted a man that had lost his hearing 17 years prior. The story goes that prior to losing his hearing the man had heard something pop in his back. Upon the adjustment of the man's misaligned vertebrae his hearing greatly improved.
The Black All-Stars, coached by Pope John's Frank Canning, High Point's Brian Gallagher and Hopatcong's Paul Miller, took on the Blue All-Stars, coached by Sparta's Rick Poots and Lenape Valley's Bill Moore. For the record, the Black All-Stars won 7-3 in a scheduled nine-inning game. But more importantly, 29 area softball stars got to compete in one last high-school-level contest.
Zimbalist boarded at St. Paul's School in Concord, New Hampshire, taking part in school plays. He briefly attended Yale University but was expelled, reinstated and expelled a second time on account of low grades.[2] He moved back to New York City in 1936 to work as a page for NBC radio where he had small on-air roles as well as presenting shows. Zimbalist was drafted in 1941.[7] Inducted into the United States Army, he completed his initial training at Fort Dix, New Jersey.[8] Selected for officer candidate school, after graduation in 1943 he received his commission as a second lieutenant of Infantry.[9] Zimbalist was assigned as a platoon leader in Company L, 3rd Battalion, 60th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division and participated in combat in Europe following the Normandy landings.[9] He was discharged at the end of the war, and his awards and decorations included the Bronze Star Medal and Combat Infantryman Badge, in addition to the Purple Heart he received for a shrapnel wound to his leg during the battle of Hürtgen Forest.[9]
