Foucault Circle 2012: tour of Attica Correctional Facility

Dear Colleagues,

In conjunction with the meeting of the 2012 Foucault Circle in
Buffalo, a tour of Attica Correctional Facility has been arranged for
Friday morning, March 30th. The tour is limited to twenty-five
people, so if you are interested in participating please contact
Devonya Havis (hav...@canisius.edu) as soon as possible, but no later
than March 20th. Tour participants will meet in the hotel lobby at
7:15am and be driven to ACF by shuttle; anyone wishing to drive
themselves should plan to meet at ACF no later than 8:45am.

Please note the following information provided by ACF relative to the
tour:
“Tour attendees will have to clear a metal detector for in-processing,
participants should be advised to limit jewelry and to avoid clothing
with metal in it (i.e., underclothing). Casual business attire is
expected of participants and they should be reminded that no pagers,
cell phones, cameras, personal data assistants, or weapons of any sort
are permitted within the facility. Photo identification will be
required.”

We are in the process of finalizing the program and will distribute it
soon.
