I bet your instinct is correct, Jon, and they are taking time to make up some community benefits so that DCDP will recommend the height increase. DCDP will always come through for developers.

I think so, too. I had called Gideon to see if such changes could be made at the same meeting as the earlier proposal, and he indicated that they probably could—that the Planning Board can do much as it likes. Boylston Properties doesn’t have to change its proposal for next month, though they can change their report and the mitigations they want to add during that meeting. Since the Planning Board meeting is a public hearing, with a Council hearing to follow, that would probably be enough public notice to get by. Better minds than mine will have to get thinking about how to face this new hurdle.
I hope that I didn’t keep too many people from the important other issues Lisa mentioned since I mistakenly said the meeting wasn't happening, not just this issue postponed.
