ATTENTION EAST ENDERS

It has been brought to our attention that the U.S. Post Office at 126 Main St., in Watertown Sq., closed early on Saturday the 28th. A sign was posted on the door indicating unknown status for reopening.

In my capacity as Chair of the Committee on State, Federal and Regional Government, I offer the following information:

For the foreseeable future, the 126 Main St. location will only be open as staffing levels allow. Lobby access to the Post Office Boxes will be available; on a sporadic basis. If you need to enter the lobby area, updates can be gained by calling 781-899-0216. Please, please, only call this telephone number under dire circumstances - staffing levels are limited.

At this time, the East End Post Office at 589 Mt. Auburn St. in Coolidge Sq. remains open, Monday through Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. As with everything; services are subject to change.

My query to the USPS was specific to the Watertown Post Office locations. Please share the information with friends and neighbors, since my contact information is limited.

Best wishes for lots of good health for you and yours. We are all in this together.

Regards,

Angie

Thank you. Lobby closed, what about the mailbox on the street? will they pick up that's dropped in the box?
