Hello all,

Please see this announcement below and attached, and please consider serving on the Community Preservation Committee (CPC).  It would be great to have someone who cares about the riverfront involved in distributing CPA funds.

Cheers,
Beth Zwick

P.S. please forgive any cross-posting!

Subject: Recruitment for non-statutory members of the Community Preservation Committee (CPC)
To: Beth Zwick <bethzwi...@gmail.com>

The Town Manager is now looking for candidates to fill several seats on the CPC.  This new Town agency will be responsible for administration of the Community Preservation Act.  It has its own budget, accumulated annually by a property tax surcharge and partial State match.  This revenue is dedicated exclusively to the support of open space and outdoor recreation, historical preservation, and affordable housing.

Since the Town Council has declined to play any formal role in the recruitment of candidates for the CPC, it is all the more imperative for the citizenry to help in this process.  Please urge FOTWR members to consider applying for one of the available positions, or to interest others they may know of to do so.  Note the near deadline for applications -- Friday 19 October!

Thanks,
Patrick
