Yes, I saw that too. Its about the square format. All it does is require you to think more about what part of the image is best for the story you are telling.

also created my account (leif81), but I can't really understand the hype about it. In my personal opinion StreamZoo does it much better in so many aspects. Missed so many features on Instagram liked following streams.

Well actually look more teen app, user dont behave well, when iphone user come to streamzoo was a normal day no1 say anything bad or be agresive, also pics wont look as nice as The ones on streamzoo, because there also pc users with pro camera on streamzoo. Sorry but for i see streamzoo is better.

It seems to be mixed feelings from Android friends and SZ friends about liking Instagram. I do think SZ and Lightbox offer more in features especially more than the square format. I have to spend more time on IG to see the bigger picture that includes community, conversation, quality of photos, stream of friends etc. At least we have an option to participate in another network and test or skills within the limits of IG square format, filters and editing. What I see so far is that its still not that IG makes your photos great, its how you take the shot and edit prior to adding to IG. so for us, nothing really changes other than thinking of what part of a pre-edited photo plays well in square format.

I have heard the tilt shift is missing. I also notice Flickr is missing for social sharing. What I like about that is it adds the tags and the filters used. I see some people using ifttt to upload to Flickr and I may use that. 

Any recommendations for best tilt shift app? Its ok in LittlePhoto and I think PicSay Pro, but not as much control as you get in SZ.

I think a good picture should not lose its charm,because the wrong image format. This unfortunately is the picture's message is lost. To be typical of Apple, always different but unfortunately no better. SZ lightbox or are there better, much better. But I'll have a look,if ig is still good,the one factor of the image size should not determine whether an app is good or not.

So far, the only real problem I have ran into is it says the the 'photo is too small' when I try to upload a photo that I edited with pixlr -o-matic. Very annoying.

The app is not that bad is pretty quick, but The community(users) not nice, also The thing there no way of see others users stream and they see yours, so only The one that are popular will stay popular, & im sure im missing The best photos.

I crop with FX  photo editor and have not had any problems  (with my 3 uploads :)  Magic Hour and pixlromatic reduce the  size considerably.
Have a question about tagging in IG - do you put  that with the caption, if  there are no streams, why?

If you take the photo in high resolution and run it through Pixlr it should keep a large size. The last photo I edited and uploaded had no problem. Check your settings to see where they are for size. It may also depend on what filter and frame you use. I think its best to not use crop and frame if sending to IG. Use the basic photo then add frame in IG unless its not the one you want.

Evelina, the tagging really isn't different than Streamzoo or Lightbox when I think about it. SZ just created the description area. When you tag the photos in the Title you are creating "streams." You click on the hashtag then you see all the images with that tag. Also check out  http://statigr.am/
 when you are at a computer. It will help you organize and search to see how tags are being used. It helps me.

Sadly tilt shift maker crashes all the time on ICS devices as soon as I try to use the tilt shift effect. Contacted them in the hope there might be an update - last one was long time ago.

Yeahh, Fotodroids maintain a good relationship with iPhonesia which basically is the biggest iPhoneography community in Indonesia.. I even personally invited their moderators to Fotodroids' first birthday party last January.. So you could try and interact with them instead of those other snobby iPhone users.. Hope they'll be nice to you like they are to me.. Haven't ran into any bad encounters with iPhone users on Instagram so far.. ;)

I have seen some of the crazy comments and images against android users. Its ridiculous. Some have been a lead in to welcome droid users, but its not that funny. I have not had any direct issues and nothing but good vibes so far. I also didn't jump in and start uploading tons of images. I've been selective, mostly testing how things work. Why people with iPhones feel they are superior on Instagram...well, I won't finish that sentence :)

All I know is I'm glad to be part of fotodroids, happy I found Streamzoo and Lightbox way before Instagram, happy to share images with all of you, always learning and living through your images wishing I could visit Indonesia ASAP, will continue to be me and appreciate my friends. That's all I know. :)

A few days into it now, Instagram is still just another network to share images. I like it for the potential I'm starting to see, for all of us. Rock on Fotodroids, rock on!
