Dear Colleagues,
Please find attached the CFP for the conference
Photo: Science. Photography and Scientific Discourses | Fotografie a diskurzy vědy
which will take place at the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague on 17–19 September 2020.

The core question the conference aims to ask is how photography influenced or is influencing different fields of science and humanities. For example, in what ways is photography used in the context of the natural sciences, sociology or aesthetics? How did photography impact on the organisation and functioning of archaeological or anthropological research? How did photography change our understanding of visual representations within the research? You can find more in the attached files.

Abstracts in the Czech or English language up to 300 words together with a brief CV should be sent by 28 February 2020 to cvf....@gmail.com.

The conference is organised by the CVF/Photography Research Centre of the Institute of Art History, CAS.

On behalf of the organisers,
Petra Trnkova
