We are delighted to invite you to attend our two-part International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) Conference for libraries and other knowledge institutions. The conference is a collaboration between the National Library of Norway and Stanford University Libraries and will take place in Oslo on December 6th. You will find the full program attached.
The International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) is driven by a growing community of the world’s leading research libraries and image repositories working together to produce an interoperable technology
and community framework for image delivery. Technologists, researchers, librarians, and users of museums and archives from all over the world have already signed up to learn more about the IIIF-technology, and
how the technology can empower their organizations. The first part of this conference will introduce the technology to attendees not familiar with IIIF, but are interested in implementing
IIIF in their organizations.
The second part of the conference will focus on practical cases to show the participants how the results of the IIIF-work can influence their work with high quality digital images. The new possibilities
for collaboration between several institutions on image objects or collections, will also be discussed.
The workshops will be practically oriented and
you will have the opportunity to work side by side with colleagues from all over the world.
