This dog came in with 2 other dogs. They were found as strays abandoned together, all with collars. The other 2 dogs were rescued but unfortunately

 

✅ GENERAL NOTE [ 07/01/2024 ]: Stage Change Notes

P impounded as stray and completed 72 hour stray hold. No chip found on intake. No known owner came forward for reclaim. P seems friendly in kennel. Changing stage to Pending Dog Eval.

Growling with head low during walk through

Attempted dog test: Unable to remove dog from kennel. Head is low, growling and has pinned eyes. When I opened the door the dog did not move and kept intense eye contact with his head down. Did not proceed as I was unable to judge which way he would go with movements.

 

✅ BEHAVIORAL NOTE [ 07/03/2024 ]: Staff Notes

Later on that day, staff attempted to take the dog out, and was successful. Dog is very nervous but showed no signs of aggression. Rescue coordinator has videos of interaction upon request.
