Subject: Fluffy Shepherd Mix w/ One Tiny Eye- Seeking Rescue! (Baldwin, MD)
Meet Jasmine! Jasmine came to Baltimore County Animal Services as a stray that was initially brought to an emergency vet. We are sure Jasmine misses being in a home environment and would love a second chance in one. She is a very sweet girl and is very housebroken! She pulls a little on leash but it is manageable. She also knows ‘sit’! She enjoys pets and just sitting with her handler happily taking treats. At first look, it’s obvious that Jasmine has an issue with her eye and upon further veterinarian examination it was determined that she exhibits microphthalmia of her left eye. This is a congenital condition where the eye is abnormally small. At this time, the eye is not causing her any discomfort or pain but if in the future the condition begins to cause issues then surgical removal may be warranted.
