| Dear Clark Thanks for showing interests in Software Freedom Day events, in brief, we are part of the community called Free Software and Open Source Foundation For Africa [FOSSFA] www.fossfa.net and some of our main goals through our communities includes advocate Free / Libre Open Source Software [FLOSS], capacity building, technical support, migration, consultations etc. We will host Software Freedom Day Conference on 15th Sept, at a venue which will be notified later. Pre Conference event, as part of capacity building, we will provide training in Linux Professional Institute Certification Level 1 in three regions, Dar, Arusha and Iringa. It will be great if you may share this information with your students at KIU, as we also target empowering students and expose them to Free and Open Source Software so that they knows the practical benefits of FLOSS/ FOSS. We have communities such as ict@innovation www.ict-innovation.fossfa.net which is free to join. ict@innovation , a joint-venture project between fossfa and GIZ, has conducted projects such as LPIC and Advanced FOSS Business Model [FBT] in Africa, In Tanzania, we had lots of workshops in Dar Es Salaam, between 2010 and 2012.
