Dear all We have a positive reply from DFI regarding the SFD Summit proposal, and now they are requesting that we prepare a budget, they have provided a template which can guide us through. My request to you all 1. Can we meet for those in Dar and work out the budget? I suggest Dr. Kiswaga you invite Dr. Lungo, Ms Neatness, Frank, Jimmy and others, and if we can get someone else with budget preparation experience to help will be great. The budget needs to be realistic, and the options i gave on the proposal have to revisited, those who can not make it to the meeting please share your views to the team, as for me, i hope to participate remotely. 2. There are two questions asked by DFI that also need realistic answers,  - which venue do we recommend ? check the details on the proposal, and why? And who do we expect to invite as local speakers and / or exhibitors? we can draw a list of potential local speakers and approach them for their initial acknowledgement. - My suggestions  Guest of honor - Hon. January Makamba Main Speakers - Mr. Mulamula, David Sawe, Dr. Lungo, Said Masimango , Hector Mongi etc i trust we can request our friends who can play part in this. Topics: Internet Freedom, FLOSS in government, FLOSS in education, Software Freedom, Ethical Hacking With FLOSS tools, Social Media and its Impact in Tanzania, Tanzania ICT Policy vs FLOSS, African FLOSS Business Models case of Tanzania etc  Exhibitors: I suggest we invite those who have engaged in FLOSS businesses, including software development, training, technical support, Higher learning institutions etc i trust it will be good for all participant to showcase what they have to the community for publicity.  3. Ms Neatness, kindly pursue our endorsement request from the COSTECH and Ministry 4. If we can get a link to media people they may help give the event a wide publicity ( i think of Clouds FM, ITV and alike) 5. We redefine the tasks and voluntary we assign ourselves to those tasks ..... Just thinking aloud ...! i kindly request your  input so that we achieve something this year and if possible we learn from this efforts and start thinking of hosting idlelo 6 in 2016....... Dear Raphael Thanks for the support, and for the idea. DFI needs the budget and some information by 9th  (thats monday), now some of the questions can not be answered without visiting the venue for example there are many venues at Blue Pearl, why are we recommending one against the rest.  If we can get the input by sunday then i will have all in the input documented on sunday night and by monday morning we all revisit the inputs and give our final touch.
