Hey everybody,

I've been working on a redesign of the FOSS Tithe website, and it's
close to completion.

It looks great -- clean and clear. The big call-to-action pledge form
is a winner.

It feels a little odd that there isn't the tittle 'FOSS Tithe' at the
top of the actual page, but perhaps that's intentional? I thought for
a moment I'd landed on a page about Tarsnap.

The primary purpose is to get people involved, so the FOSS Tithe name
is meant to take a back seat. It scares me a little that you initially
thought
the page was about Tarsnap. Maybe the logos should be made a bit
smaller.

The average person may see the page in a different perspective,
though. I
built badges to place on member sites, and most people will see the
site
like this:

We're working on a bit of a re-design (with a proper 'FOSS Tithe'
title, I think). I'll post back with updates.

Ah okay, that makes more sense.

Perhaps the form could be the first thing on the page, with the logos underneath? (Kind of, "here's this good thing you can do, and to encourage you here are some other people who've already done it".)

It's just that a logo at the top of a web page is such a standard visual language for 'this is what this web page is about' that that's how I parsed it on first glance. I could be alone in this, of course. :)

I think the placement of the featured pledges box makes a lot more
sense in this version. The header logo is nice too! Good work.
