Use the FOSS currency Bitcoin?

Wouldn't it be a good idea to want to transfer the funds using a FOSS
currency as well?

Bitcoin is a FOSS-based anoymous digital currency.

At least one of your recipients for 2010, Tahoe-LAFS, already accepts

Interesting idea. What do you see as the advantage of using it in this case? We don't really need to be anonymous.
