2)Is there going to be only left hand side menu? Normally I prefer a Left hand
floating with a static all important top level menu. ( But this is design and
personal preference; over ruling very much allowed)
3) Profile Page:
First
[ ]
Last Name
[ ]
* This field is required.
Normally, my mind has got use to super-script(*) with (* footnote providing
additional detail). In the above design; how will I know that the Last Name
field was the one which was required?
4) Why Resume field in the user profile?
5) Why is City/Organization a Textarea instead of normal text-field. This is a
bug.
6) I made a post and it did not come under the Posts category...
7) No Search for this site. People have got used to Search for each and
everything. I even recollect a conversation wherein for us.pycon.org; the most
used feature was search.
8) The Talks tag could come below the schedule. ( Tags are normally an
obstruction when you know what you are looking for in the schedule).
9) Let the default photo be Python; if the user fails to upload an image. BTW,
Python runs on Windows and Mac too; and has a good user base. Most of the
Core-Python developers are on Mac. Tux logo is not very suitable.
I would expect the PyCon to be Language developement conference than a Free
Software Conference. (Tony Hoare was at europython yesterday)
8) Why is Talks and Browse Slides two separate links? Can it be simplified?
9) When I am logged in as a normal user, I can click Register again and I am
presented with a 1st Registration dialogue.
10) FossConf software is bit different from other conference software, like a
user can add talk to become speaker; and can add some details to become
volunteer. A very brief howto would be a good idea at the start page in order
for user to know his capablities.

there are no static menu items - all are dynamically generated - we do not
know at the present time what items we need. The order can easily be changed.
I will try to make it more logical.

sure - will make this more user friendly - I hope Sree will look into this

It is optional, some people like to make such details public, and most people
would like to know something about those who are speakers.

yes - we were in a hurry last time so did not get around to making several
fields for city, organisation etc. Will do.

you did not set an expiry date in the future

they serve different purposes - browse slides is very popular after the
conference is over

a bug - will change it
