Oracle, the "owners" of OpenOffice, have announced the discontinuation
of commercial development on the popular office suite. OpenOffice will
be continued as a community project. A fork of openoffice called
LibreOffice will be the default office suite in most of the major
linux distributions including Ubuntu 11.04. People still using the
openoffice are advised to download and install LibreOffice.
