I had a meeting with David Bitner to talk about what needs to be done over the next few weeks and don't think that we necessarily need a committee meeting. If anyone feels that we should meet, please respond.
Essentially, here is what is going on:
1. We need more people in the seats. Please spend any energy, time, marketing resources, political capital, etc. that you have on promoting registration and attendance. We really do have a good program to sell.
2. I will do some additional presentation and lightning talk invites tonight and will base them on anything that I hear from you.
3. If there are other decisions to be made, like the above, I will reach out for input whenever possible.
4. The next big deadline is getting the program data to our designer by May 6th. Due to that deadline, the program will be significantly less malleable by May 4th.
5. If you want to see a panel (concurrent or plenary), please volunteer to take responsibility for it in the next day or two.
Like I said, we can schedule a call, but I don't think that there is anything that we need to do that we can't handle via the email list.
