Fwd: T-shirt order for May 22 conference

Hey all,

I'm going to be sending in the t-shirt order later today. I've included their mock-ups. Right now we are sitting at about 280 total attendees for the 22-23rd (paid and unpaid) and there are certainly some more trickling in. We are batting about 10% Women. In order to help make sure folks get the size they want and we have enough shirts to accommodate additional entries, we should pad our order fairly significantly. We can give extras first come first serve to folks who come to the sponsor day as well. I am looking at making the following size break-down for the order (yes we were stupid and did not include t-shirt size on our registration form). Please let me know ASAP if you see any errors/typos on the shirt or if you have any comments on total number being ordered or the size breakdown.

My only comment would be to pad the larger shirt sizes.  XXL and XXXL some more, maybe 20 and 10.  This is just based on other events I’ve worked on, the extremes seem to go first (smaller and larger).  It’s generally easier to hand out something too big, than too small . . . when all said and done, if you did the estimates correctly, your left overs should be the too big, or too small sizes.  :c)

Hi All

A couple people in the lab looked at the design and really like it.  One concern is the size of the logo seems large at 11" X 11".  This is going to be really big on a small or medium shirt.  How about closer to 7-8"?

Looks fine to me.

Len's group has a good point (judging by measuring on me ;-) even 10" might be better, but not a big deal to me.

Bob has a good point too - at Denver I got a small and it was... small, but all the mediums were gone by the time I went back.

Looks nice.  I agree that a slightly smaller graphic would be good idea.  It looks like this shirt isn't a 'fitted' style.

OK, I am going to ask them about how 11" will be on small/medium and trust their judgement (letting them know we are concerned). I'm not sure what margins they might have which might effect that too.

I'm going to go with this breakdown which skews things quite a bit larger:
