Project Manager

Houston, Texas

Domestic Travel required – H1B’s ok as long as they have STRONG communication skills

 

Project Management / Application Deployment

 

1) Initiating and Planning

Ø      Work with the business sponsor and pricing process lead to confirm project objectives and priorities, and the business realization plan.

Ø      Develop the Business Deployment and Change Management Plan

Ø      Develop the business stakeholder management plan with input and support from the business

Ø      Own the communication plan

 

2) Requirement Gathering and Analysis

Ø      Understand and analyze stakeholders’ expectations and concerns –

Ø      Business Leadership / Sponsors, Refinery Planner, E&S Manager, Traders, Economist, Pricing Analyst, Pricing Advisor

Ø      Liaise with Business Functions (JV, E&S, Refinery Planning, Economist etc) that will have input or impact to the delivery of the Pricing Application

Ø      Work with IT Team, Cluster Optimization, Pricing Advisor, to

o       Identify changes between As-Is and To Be

o       Identify impacts of changes on the application, users’ roles and responsibilities, business process and ways of working

o       Identify the actions and business owners required to address the change impacts

Ø      Conduct user survey, interview or workshop to gather the detailed requirement and obtain sign-off for the agreed customization

3) Change Management Execution – with the support from the Project team and Business Leads in the region

 

Ø      Ensure timely and effective execution of Change Management / Business Deployment Plan

Ø      On-going leadership engagement / regular progress update

Ø      Monitor and measure the change progress

Ø      Confirm user training needs into the project plan. Monitor effectiveness on the training - to ensure users are competent with the new pricing tool

Ø      Review the User Training Schedule and Materials. (Development to be performed by Pricing Advisor/ Business Analyst

Ø      Work with IT PM to confirm training approach (identify trainer and trainees)

Ø      Confirm training logistics and dates

 

4) Deployment Preparation and Execution

Ø      Business interface to IT in managing and supporting

o       Application Security Model setup for the different user group

o       Master Data set up

Ø      Prototyping, User Acceptance Test (UAT),

Ø      Identify and confirm business testers and involvement

Ø      Review escalated testing issues and gaps working with the IT project team

Ø      Business Sign-off

o        Business cutover planning – phased, parallel run working with the respective business focal points

o        Business Realization measurement activities – discussion, interview

 

5) Deployment Execution and Stabilization

Ø      Monitor business stabilization activities and ensure all the on-going business support activities are transitioned into the organization

Ø      Work with Pricing / Cluster Optimization Advisor and IT Business BA to

o       Support or handhold users on the new process and tools

o       Resolve escalated issue related to change management and user concerns

 

 

Skills Required:

 

Ø      5+ years Knowledge of formal project management methodologies (ie. Project Delivery Framework) and relevant stage gates

Ø      Strong Change Management skills

Ø      5+ years’ Experience in Forecast and Demand Forecast, Supply Economic and Pricing process

Ø      5+ years’ Experience  Implementing SAP ERP  integrated application

Ø      Business and system analysis skills

Ø      Pricing Application and Reference Data Manager applications

Ø      Oracle Database / Stored Procedure
