Nepali text to speech software?

Hi list,

It is a misery -- to this day we dont have a "Nepali text to speech
software". Such a project would be a interesting FOSS project that
could make it to every Nepali computer.

So, I want to know some technical details/difficulties/limitations to
create a text to speech software for a new language ?

Any ideas, pseudo codes, contributions......... welcome! :)

Dear List members,

I am happy to hear the concern about Nepali text to speech engine.
Actualy, I am blind myself and a very good friend of technology. I can
operate Windows and Linux both but only in English.

Nepali TT is very needed thing for people specially who are blind and
print disabled people willing to learn Computer.

Let's sit together and discuss about the technical aspects and
expected cost of the project, our organization IEC Nepal is ready to
find funding
support.
I have written many times in this group and requested to help me but
noe one responded positively.

It would be a great contribution for Nepalese blind so let's do
something for this project together.

Hope to hear from interested persons.
