other platforms. They do not follow standards and always insert their
part of shitty lockware (which is used to lock users to their
platforms, they call it additional feature) and if you get used to it,
you are locked in the platform.
If you create a really wonderful piece of software in M$ Platform, you
will have a hard time porting it to other platforms (even when you
have so many users wanting to use it on alternate platforms). Ask
Adobe and Google.
So, the best bet is "DO NOT USE their products AT ALL".
[if it was so then may opensource products would not have binaries for windows platform.. it's business we just have to bear them]

I hope that was meant to be sarcastic.
Yes, ubuntu tries to mimic Windows in one way or the other, to reach
the early migrators. But it still is different. Moreover, you need not
stay with what Cannonical provides.. you can customize it in various
ways.
