Hi Vicky Nanda,
I was going through the PHP examples. I guess we should start with a
hello world, in the lab! I suggest that we include the examples given in
http://in2.php.net/manual/en/tutorial.php It would be great if we
discuss MySQL in the last PHP lab session, alone.

BTW, how do we plan to get the students to run the PHP examples under
a webserver? Do we have Apache installed in all systems?

Regards,
Vijay

Hello world program has been included in the study material. Is it not assumed that the student has to read the study material before coming to the lab session? Anyway, I'll add few simple exercises as suggested, before the existing exercises. As PHP is mainly a web programming/scripting language, not learning MySQL with it would be of hardly any use, IMHO.

I've given this under prerequisites section (very first section) in the study material. If the instructions on how to install Apache and PHP are needed, I'll add them.

Regards,
Vijay
