Hi FoSL Members,
This month, the FoSL Board voted to approve a $2,300 grant for the workshop building at Craftshare Vocational Training Centre (CVTC) in Kakua Chiefdom in Bo District, Southern Province of Sierra Leone. This grant will be used for rehabilitating a dilapidated metalwork training workshop. The community believes that this project will enhance the organizational capacity to address the skills training needs of more disadvantaged youth and consequently improve their quality of life and low income earning power of this category of marginalized young women and men, caused by capacity gap and the lack of training opportunity to be able to tap into resources that generate income for their individual households and communities in general.
We wish them luck on this project and we are excited to see their success!
