Partnership with Passion for Learning Initiative

Hi FoSL Members,

We are proud to announce our partnership with Passion for Learning Initiative in Sierra Leone. Their mission is to create real Hope in Sierra Leone by inspiring early childhood education. The village of Mondema, Sierra Leone (West Africa) has partnered with Bruce and Brenda Blair (USA) for ten years, working to deliver effective early childhood education. This effort created the successful Passion for Learning Initiative (PLI) which involves a traveling teacher going to school to school, teaching reading through phonics – something entirely missing in the existing educational system. PLI is governed by a local Board of leaders. 

The need is for $35,000 (800,000 New Leones) to convert and outfit the building to an environment conducive to learning and deliver even more educational benefit to the children of Mondema.
