IREX 2025 Community Solutions Program (CSP)

"The IREX Community Solutions Program (CSP) is a year-long professional leadership development program for established community leaders  working to improve their communities by addressing issues related to:

• democracy and human rights,

• environment, 

• peace and conflict resolution,

• women and gender. 

Applicants must:

1. Be between the ages of 26 and 39 as of November 13, 2024;

2. Be a citizen of one of the eligible countries;

3. Be living and working in one's home country;

4. Have at least two years of experience working on community development, either as a full-time or part-time employee or volunteer;

5. Not be currently participating in an academic, training, or research program in the U.S.;

6. Have a high level of proficiency in spoken and written English at the time of application;

7. Be available to travel to the U.S. for four months from August to December 2025;

8. Be available to travel unaccompanied (without spouse, child(ren), or other family members), other than for disability accommodation needs;

9. Not be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. and have not applied for U.S. permanent residency within the past three years;

10. Be eligible to receive a U.S. J-1 visa;

11. Be committed to returning to one's home country for a minimum of two years after completing the program.

CSP includes a four-month hands-on U.S. practicum, personalized leadership coaching and training through a graduate level leadership curriculum, and a six-month follow-on community project fellows implement in their home country.

The program covers the cost of most expenses associated with:

> J-1 visa support,

> Round-trip travel from participants’ home city to the U.S.,

> Monthly allowance to cover housing, meals, and other living expenses while in the U.S.,

> Accident and sickness health coverage,

> Accessibility accommodations, community assistance and community training.

The application for the 2025 Community Solutions Program is open until 13-Nov-24."
