1. Whether notes to Financial Statements, Schedules, Audit Report under the Companies Act, 1956, Income Tax Computation are also required to be attached alongwith Balance Sheet and P/L A/c? If yes, where are the same to be attached.
2. whether the Tax Audit Report is to be uploaded first or the Income Tax Return?
3. Is the mandatory for the Auditor signing the Balance Sheet and Tax Audit Report to upload the Tax Audit Report or any CA can also upload it?
4. In the Income Tax Return, there is a requirement to provide "Date of Furnishing to the Audit Report" and "Date of Audit Report". What is the difference between the two? Can both dates be the same?

Subject: [CA RUNGTA PD] E-filing of Tax Audit Reports
Dear Professional Colleagues
I have to file form 3CA and 3CD of an assessee. For this I have registered myself as the Tax professional. The assessee had also added me as his CA. I have filled the Forms 3CA and 3CD. Alongwith the xml files of 3CA & 3CD; there is a requirement to attach Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Cost Audit report, Excise and/or Other reports. In respect of the same I have the following queries:
1. Whether notes to Financial Statements, Schedules, Audit Report under the Companies Act, 1956, Income Tax Computation are also required to be attached alongwith Balance Sheet and P/L A/c? If yes, where are the same to be attached.
Yes, Notes/Schedules form part of the financials. So those needs to be attached
2. whether the Tax Audit Report is to be uploaded first or the Income Tax Return?
Tax Audit report first, then ITR
3. Is the mandatory for the Auditor signing the Balance Sheet and Tax Audit Report to upload the Tax Audit Report or any CA can also upload it?
NO, only the CA signing can upload not any one.
4. In the Income Tax Return, there is a requirement to provide "Date of Furnishing to the Audit Report" and "Date of Audit Report". What is the difference between the two? Can both dates be the same?
Yes both can be same
Plz reply.

Dear Sir,Point wise reply of your query is as follows :-1. Yes, all the documents relating to financial statements being audit report, schedules and notes should be attached in pdf format (preferably signed copy duly scanned) Income tax computation need not be attached.2. Now, the ITR forms are not being validated unless you put the date of uploading of tax audit report(TAR). It means that uploading of TAR is must before filing of return.3. In case where there is a single tax Auditor, the TAR should be uploaded by him only, even if the balance sheet is signed by some other chartered accountant. However in case of joint tax auditors, any one of them can upload TAR after combining all the TARs signed by different auditors.4. Date of audit report to be filled in ITR is the actual date of signing of TAR in physical form. Date of furnishing the same is the date which will be reflected in the CAs portal once the TAR submitted by the CA is approved by the assessee. Practically both the dates should not be the same.RegardsRaj Singhania, FCA

Hi Suhas,
Tax Audit report shall be furnished first and that shall be mentioned in the ITR by the assesse.
Venu
Dear Mr.Agarwal,
One correction “ Date of Furnishing the report” is NOT the “date on which CA uploaded”, but the “Date on which Assesse has approved it”

Dear Gaurav- Can you please advise as to the procedure for registration as Tax Professional. Regards: CA. A.K.Chakrabarti
1. only signed b/s nd p/l needs to be uploaded....schedules are optional ..nothing apart from these.
2. tax audit report needs to b uploaded first then ITR
3. it is manatory since while uploading TAR digital signature of CA signing it is reqd. It shud be same since while creating professional id digital signature is also uploaded.
4. yes it can be same... it means the date of uploading is date of furnishing nd date of signing the TAR manually by the CA alongwith the Clients is the date of TAR. in other words date of finalising TAR is Date of TAR (Tax Audit Report)
