What does proposed date of remittance in Form-15CB imply? Can the actual remittance be made either before or after the said proposed date?

Actual remittance can be made only on or after that proposed date. Proposed date means the date on which actual remittance is to be made.

dear querist, the proposed date should be worked out anticipating processing time in a.d. bank or in receiving the overseas documents/invoices.

However, if the a.d bank to whom this is given does any delay at their end, the form still remains valid for reasonable time or if there is no change in facts,then till the remittance is done

Proposed date in Form 15CB is date on which the remitter expects to make payment to a non-resident or foreign company beneficiary. Actual date may  be different, but should be within reasonable time, say 1 or 2 days in either side. Most banks do not object to this.

For 15CB remittance  should  be made on or before proposed date of remittance, it cannot be after the said proposed date .

Remittance cannot be made before signing date of 15CB

Yes, It is only a tentative date which is required to be mentioned. Need not necessarily be exact date of remittance.

Souvikji,

proposed date of remittance means the date on which the remittance is to be made. The actual date of remittance is the proposed date of remittance itself.

Proposed date is the likely date of remittance. The actual date may be different but has to be either same date as that mentioned in the 15CB certificate/ certificate date or later. For example the proposed date may be a Friday but the actual payment date may be that of next Monday. 

Since copy of uploaded form 15CA and 15CB is required by the bank for remitting the payment abroad, actual remittance date cannot be before the proposed date mentioned in the 15CB certificate.
