Advanc Tax Letters From Income Tax office

Now a days, Assesses are getting the letter in following format from Income Tax Office -

where it says your tax SHOULD increase by 30% , whether it should be construed as a friendly call or a threat ?

The need for taxation and contribution towards nation building by the citizens through payment of taxes were best described in the beautiful verses of “Raghuvansham” which say “it was only for the good of the subjects that the King collected tax from them, just as the Sun draws moisture from the Earth to give it back a thousand fold”.

The Department would like to know the state of affairs of your financial results and consequent payment of taxes on the income earned during the current financial year 2013-14 and more specifically, a healthy payment of advance tax installment December, 2013. The records maintained by us shows payment of Advance tax as below:

I shall be grateful if you please make it convenient to come to this office for the purposes of discussion on the subject with the relevant documents on ............ or ............. between ..............a.m. and ............ p.m. The Department would like you to increase the payment of advance tax installment for March, 2014 so that your total payment of advance tax in F.Y. 2013-14 is at least greater by 30% as compared to F.Y. 2012-13.

DEAR COLLEAGUES.

PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO SUCH MAIL.

MY ACCOUNT GOT HACKED AFTER I FOLLOWED THEIR INSTRUCTIONS IN GOOD FAITH.

SUCH MAILS ARE NOT FROM THE INCOME TAX DEPT.

AS GOOD LUCK PREVAILED, THE HACKER TYPED MY PASSWORD WRONG THRICE AND MY ACCOUNT GOT LOCKED .

I CALLED THE CUSTOMER CARE OF MY BANK AND LEARNT ABOUT THE ATTEMPT TO OPEN MY BANK ACCOUNT.
ONLY AFTER PROPER AUTHENTICATION MY BANKER OPENED MY ACCOUNT FOR NET BANKING.
