Formalities for closure of partnership firm for income tax purposes .

Dear All , A partnership firm has stopped its operations and will be closing down . What are the formalities that need to be followed especially under the Income Tax Act ? Is it sufficient to just intimate in writing to the concerned ITO or are there any other specific steps to be taken ?

Sir,

Before intimating to anyone, please prepare a
Dissolution deed and intimate all concerned
authorities whether Income Tax or Service Tax
or WB Commercial Taxes, etc along with a
copy of the Dissolution Deed.
