Hi,

Received the appended mail from the CPC Bangalore for the return filed AY 2013-14:

“Please find attached, the order relating to Rectification under Section 154 of Income Tax Act, 1961, for PAN ABXXXXXX8B with respect to the Income Tax Return filed for Assessment Year 2013-14.”

The attachment to the mail contains the following information:

“Your return for the above mentioned assessment year will henceforth be rectified by your Assessing Officer

DEL/W/71/2. You are requested to contact your Jurisdictional assessing officer for any rectification related issues.

You may also log on to https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and click on "Know your Jurisdictional AO" under

"SERVICES" menu for further details.”

Does it mean that the return for the above AY is being rectified or will be rectified?

Do we need to do something for this mail at this stage?

With regards

Dear Mr Jain

Since the CPC is not in a position to carry out the rectification ( most probably due to glitches in the software ) the most easiest route to pass over the buck is to transfer the file to AST – which they have done. Similar cases has also been faced by me.

Noe the more sorry state is that the AST HAD TO TAKE UP THE MATTER SUO MOTTO but as we all know they through the matter in cold basket and the assessee has to suffer for want of justice

This is the system we are in

Rgds
