Subject:
Request to take Suo-moto cognizance and issue directions to MSEDCL.
Dear Sir,
MERC suo-motu
allowed additional recovery from consumers of MSEDCL vide case No. 95 of 2013
issued on 5/9/2013. According to our calculations the rise in consumer tariff
should be to the tune of 14.5% for all categories of consumers applicable from
billing month of Sept.2013.
MSEDCL wrongly
issued energy bills for the month of August 2013 to all
consumers and added AEC charges to the tune of around 20%, without giving any
calculations in the energy bill. This is an alarming situation for
industries and all the consumers. MSEDCL violated order of
Commission.
MSEDCL issued
one circular no. 209 today at its website giving the details of the charges to
be added in consumers energy bills. MSEDCL did not mention any applicability
period of this circular. Further MSEDCL added AEC3 and AEC4 charges which are
not as per commissions order.
You are
requested to take Suo-moto cognizance as done in case no. 95/2013 and issue
directions to MSEDCL to immediately follow the commissions’ Order and issue
revised bill.
