Wrong MSEDCL billing of Additional Energy Charge -2 (AEC 2) for the billing month of August 2013 & September 2013

Sub :  Wrong MSEDCL billing of Additional Energy Charge -2 (AEC 2) for the billing month of August, 2013 & September, 2013 (Charged in bill from 13^th July 2013 to 31^st

August 2013).

Kindly refer our personal discussions had with you on 18.10.2013, The MSEDCL has charged the Additional Energy charges AEC-1, AEC-2, AEC-3 & AEC-4 from August ,2013 billing Period.

AEC-1, AEC-3 & AEC-4 should have been recovered in 06 equal monthly installment from 1st September & 1st October, 2013 respectively. AEC-2 should have also recovered from 1st September, 2013 as per MERC order dated 05/09/2013 till further determination of MSEDCL New Tariff

But MSEDCL has levied and recovered above charges from billing period of August, 2013. (i.e. from 13/07/2013 onwards).

Therefore, we have paid the following Additional AEC-2 charge as an extra under Protest  which is applicable from 1^st September, 2013.

In this connection today, we met personally with S.E. Kolhapur, Mr. Kumathekar and he informed that September means assessment in September of August bill period and hence the same has recovered from August billing cycle and we have to pay the same.

For our Consumer No. at Plot E-23, billing period is from 13/07/2013 to 12/08/2013 for August and 13/08/2013 to 13/09/2013 for September, 2013. But according to MERC order AEC-2 should have been recovered from 1^st September, 2013.

Hence for the period 13/07/2013 to 31/08/2013, we have  paid an extra Additional AEC-2 amount of Rs. 25,66,708/- under Protest.

We request you to kindly  check up the attached 3 MSEDCL bills and advise to us at the earliest.
