Dear Friend.
We are all experiencing some interesting and challenging days. In May, we had to cancel our annual guided nature walk in the Impact Area following local mandates for shelter-in-place. And we regret to say that we must cancel our July 18 Open House/Bus Tour. The July event is a consistent community and staff favorite with over 200 community participants in addition to about 20 staff. We miss you and also miss the opportunity to take you into restricted areas of Fort Ord to show you the cleanup progress and be available to answer questions and comments as we drive by some of the most stunning Fort Ord habitat. When circumstances allow, we look forward to hosting an amazing open house / bus tour and guided nature walk.

Our usual behind-the-scenes work continues uninterrupted (water cleanup, sampling, monitoring and reporting) as we navigate in this new and evolving environment.

Take care and keep well.
Bill Collins
US Army Fort Ord BRAC Environmental Coordinator
