How can we reclaim this group?

What a shame to see that all posts on this forum are now SPAM. Do any
legit members know how to clean this up? I reported all the recent
messages as SPAM to Google...don't know if that will help or not.

I believe the Group is owned by Doc Mackinzie. I'm not sure if he is
still active. Perhaps he will respond. I, for one, would be happy to
get involved in a reclamation project. I have some experience with
Google Groups. I'm one of the administrators of the MORCA (mountain
biking) group. Over there we solved this problem by having poster's
apply for membership to the group. Only members can post. I think
anyone can post to ftordpubliclands.

I'm willing to get involved. Thanks for stepping up to it.

Hi Jim,

Thanks a lot for the response. I read the MORCA group board too. It
would be nice to have this group available (SPAM free) for other
discussions that might not include MTB (hiking, wildlife, land
management, etc.)...
Membership or moderation at least, would be a good idea.
