The carcass of a young forked-horn buck was discovered Wed. 11/12/08.
Five riders had passed the spot at 7:00am, a flat open area less then
a 3rd of a mile from the pad at 8th & gigling, just after 9:00 one of
the riders passed again and noticed the dead buck. The entrails had
been devoured and a buzzard was at work. It is unlikely all the riders
missed seeing it the first pass but it's possible.
Anybody notice the carcass before Wed.?

If its the area I'm thinking of, and the riders departed 8th & Gigling heading E on Gigling, there is a decline right before that opening.  Going at a faster clip, if there was anything to see in that clearing, its likely no one noticed it.  On their return to 8th & Gigling, if they were headed W on Gigling, the riders would be going slower approaching the incline, giving them a chance for their eyes to wander and spot the dead buck remains.  Just a thought.
