BLM manager wins national award

Eric Morgan, manager of the Fort Ord Public Lands Project in the
Bureau of Land Management's Hollister Field Office, has been presented
the Take Pride in America National Federal Land Manager Award by BLM.

Morgan was cited for his leadership in the restoration of public land
at Fort Ord, organizing 10,200 volunteer hours last year to improve
trails, conduct biological surveys, battle invasive weeds, restore
habitat and construct fuel breaks.

He was recognized for helping form partnerships with CSU Monterey Bay
Watershed Institute, the Army, the Student Conservation Association
and Monterey County.
