Hi there, I have purchased FSUIPC for 12 months.I downloaded and installed it, but cannot find my licence key anywhere. It is not listed in the FSX Modules file where it apparently should be. Can anyone help with this please?...

I understand how frustrating these registration issues can be, especially when migrating from one OS to another. Pete Dowson's FSUIPC is a tool that's been extensively used by many simmers like us for a long time. I'll break down some steps that might ass...

Hello,During a download, I seem to have messed up my FSUIPC.dll file. Now, when I start FS2004 I get a message saying that the FSUIPC version I have is not compatible with FS9. Is there some where I can find the correct version of FSUIPC, or do I have...

I purchased FSUIPC a LONG time ago for use with a Pre-Historic version of FS, i.e., I am starting over again as if I never paid for or registered any version of FSUIPC. So I download and install, no problem. FSUIPC is duly installed as an add-on in my FSX application.

Registering is a problem, however, because when I tell the Installer to go ahead and register, I am presented with a screen that wants my name and email address (once again, no problem) but also wants a registration key.

Yes - read the Installing and Registering FSUIPC7 manual provided, and try the solutions outlined there.

99% of all registration issues are either due to user error (not inputting the details EXACTLY as provided in your purchase email) or to the required VC++ redistributables not being installed.

If you still have issues after reading and trying the solutions outlined there, let me know your order number and I will check them here. Please do not do this unless you have already updated your VC++ redistributables.

I have a registered Pete Dowson's FSUIPC. I was using it with Windows 7 but now installed Windows 10. It now says that it is unregistered. I don't know my key code. Am I out of luck and have to pay another $30 or is there some way to get my key?

On a side note, to further optimize your flight sim experience with Windows 10, ensure you have all the necessary drivers and software updates. Compatibility is crucial in flight simulation, and staying up-to-date can save you a lot of headaches.

Hi Folks,I need to use FSUIPC (unfortunately I don't even know what it stands for!).....I need to use FSUIPC because I have a couple of Add-ons that have a bug regarding "Battery Life".... whereby the electrics will fail due to the core FS system ...

Hi,I have just renewed my subscription for FSUIPC after several years without the software,I have paid and downloaded again today ,download went ok but I have no idea what my registration number is or where to find it, anybody got any ideas.I am at ...

I'm trying to install and register FSUIPC4.

After install, I'm asked for Name, Email, FSUIPC4 key but also a WideFS Key which I don't have. I've tried leaving the WideFS box blank, putting in the FSUIPC4 key as well.

Can anyone help? There's nothing about this in the manual.

Cheers

Also remember your name must be in exactly the same format as your original purchase order. For instance, inputting an initial where the order details show a full first name will cause registration to fail.

You cannot be running the FSUIPC4 Installer. There's no WideFS entry field in the same Window as the FSUIPC4 entries. They are separate windows and you only get both if you selected "both" in an earlier window.

2) Actually, you may want to go to Mr. Dowson's blog site, , and DL the latest version, 3.999z9. It's a lot better than the older versions, and a lot of the 3RD party downloads that use FSUIPC need the later versions.

3) Make sure the game is closed. Unzip the zip file that FSUIPC came in, and MOVE (not copy) the DLL to the modules folder of FS2004 (C:\Games\Microsoft\FS2004\Modules for example). Once it's there, start FS2004, and open FSUIPC in the game's menu, and enter the codes for anything that needs it, like the Radar, or the TCAS system.

PhantomTweak, I have to ask, when you recommend MOVE (not copy) the DLL to the modules folder of FS2004, what might happen if it is copied? For example if downloaded, unzipped etc in a download folder away from FS2004, then the DLL is copied, is there concern the system may still see the DLL in the download folder? I have it this way and have always copied the DLL but, I may have something to learn here.

Why in the world do you want 2.87? What can you possibly be running that requires it? The oldest version I have in my hoard is 2.9.7 which is dated 3/14/2003. If you are running FS9, and I presume you are since you posted here, you should get 3.999z9 as Pat mentioned above.

FSUIPC3 current full version comes as an exe full installer. It normally will find a path to FS9 from the registry and if not it will give you the option to browse to the FS9 folder. It will put itself in the FS9/modules folder plus full documentation.

Version 2 was for FS8 and was freeware for full functionality as I recall. Version 3 came out for FS9 as payware for full user features. Valid freeware authors can request registration for their application and paid applications that require it should include, but not always, developer paid registration for the features it requires.

I read some time ago that multiple copies of the DLL on one drive, not just partition, but drive, will cause problems to the game (FS9). I WAS having problems with the game crashing unexpectedly and frequently. I did a search on my drives and found the many many copies of various versions I had DL'd and installed, gathered them all up, and zipped them onto an external drive I use for storage, then unplugged it. Almost no trouble since.

Just to be sure, FSUIOC3 may be used as freeware, without the registration paid, although Mr. Dowson has put a LOT of effort into both v3 and especially v4, making it Steam-compatible within a day of FSX-SE's release, back in January. In my mind he deserves something for all the effort he has put into this great piece of software. If I weren't so tight on cash he would have my registration paid, and should I happen to get enough free cash, he most certainly will get paid. Until then, I am currently forced to utilize the freeware version (actually the same file, just need to register to unlock all the goodies).

As to exe installers, I NEVER trust them, and always point them to a temp folder, and then move or copy what I need to where IT needs, as it were. But this is just my personal little quirk, is all. I want to see what goes where, and some installers can be a tad sneaky about that. I trust Mr. Dowson implicitly, it's just my policy, is all.

Pat, thanks for the reply, no need to find the quote and post it, you have me convinced to do some cleaning. And the reason I wanted you to confirm is I vaguely remember something about having duplicate DLL files may cause problems. Actually, to further support your recommendation, now I remember my Norton System Works (years back) had a feature to clean up duplicate DLL files. Now I understand why.

And your other bit of advice is well taken too. I will never run an auto installer again without pointing it to a safe folder. But I agree we can, and I always have, trusted Mr. Dowson. I have never once had a problem with his programs and I have a lot of his works (registered too).

FSUIPC, standing for Flight Simulator Universal Inter-Process Communication, is an indispensable add-on that acts as a conduit between flight simulators like Microsoft Flight Simulator or Prepar3D and third-party applications. This tool unlocks advanced customization and control, allowing users to fine-tune flight data, weather conditions, and aircraft systems in real-time.

It significantly enhances the flight simulation experience by enabling precise joystick calibration, fostering integration with virtual flying networks, and facilitating the creation of custom plugins for developers.

Beyond just improving control and connectivity, FSUIPC offers detailed data logging capabilities for performance analysis and training enhancement. Essential for both casual enthusiasts and serious simmers, FSUIPC enriches the virtual flying experience by introducing a higher level of realism, precision, and community engagement.
