I'm pretty new to Reddit so please excuse any errors. I've recently formed a poker club and as we are expanding rather quickly I would like to create a running scoreboard on excel.
I was wondering if anybody had one they would like to share or any material on how to build one.
I would like it to have an input form where I can add the points every week for each player and it will automatically store this information and update the leader board. Is this even possible?

I am attempting to create a scoreboard in Excel for use on a video board. I have two options that I can use, one is setting buttons to go +1, selecting a box and then clicking the button. I would have a "working" area which is where I would have the user do the work, while the "active" area would be captured for use on a video board.
As most people who know me will attest, I am a big fan of using gauge and bullet charts and / or altering the standard excel charts to make them more visually appealing. So when I was asked by a colleague if I could create a gauge style graph, with an arrow as an indicator of the result (kind of like a linear speedometer), my exact words were, challenge accepted.
I have a spreadsheet setup where I will be entering a set of scores throughout the day for teams. I have excel finding the scores I want for the 1st-third place and it will output the score. The problem is I want it to tell me the team, not the score. In my sheet, I have a list of scores in say column B2-B30. The teams are listed in column A2-A30. I want the program to find the max score in B and relate that to the team name in A and output the team name along with the score.
The Excel Table has many useful features, in this case, one specific feature is really great. It allows you to add or delete names to the scoreboard without adjusting cell references, you can have as many names as you like in the Excel Table.

It is possible to export data to an Excel sheet from both the main scoreboard and the driver scoreboard. This is a separate function from that of the live Excel export function which is more generalised. The scoreboard Excel exports simply sends a copy the scoreboard to the specified Excel sheet every 10 seconds.
In the case of the main scoreboard, using the Column Config to customise what is shown, a huge range of data is able to be passed to an external Excel sheet. The driver scoreboard Excel export would typically be used to perform driving time calculations for the entire field to automatically identify driving time infringements for the whole field.

I've used excel a lot, never with Active X tho, whole new area for me.

can you give a little more information? where is this scorecard in excel? where are you not seeing it? have you added the dataset but its not there, how did you add the dataset? can you provide your m code?
