I recently installed a fresh windows 10 OS. Once windows 10 was installed, I installed Ubuntu 14.04 for dual boot. Once I restart the system the grub menu shows Ubuntu and at the end of the list there is a 'Windows recovery environment loader (/dev/sda1)' .
I don't know if there's a better grub configuration for booting Windows 10 than the automatically generated one that starts the bootloader on the recovery partition, but as far as the name goes, "Windows Recovery Environment" comes straight from the the output of os-prober, which is mostly a stack of shell scripts.
If it does boots, what is the problem?If you are confused with the name of it, then rename it using something like grub-customizer.If there is a problem (which I don't see), then try to fixboot & fixmbr using windows tools and then repair grub.
I think your are facing a problem with dual booting with Windows 10,I suggest you to make a live Ubuntu usb pendrive then in live Ubuntu open terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and type the below command.. (for repair the grub you must have INTERNET connection)

Hi, I'm unable to start my mac mini into the recovery mode using a windows keyboard, it simply ignores any combination of 'windows' + 'R', or 'ctrl'+'R', or whichever key in combination with 'R' after pressing the power on button. Thanks for your response. I've tried with a USB keyboard. The ALT+R combination will have no effect. When starting with just the ALT key pressed in, it will show a black screen and the wifi selection option for my mac. After selecting the wifi network, it will nevertheless continue to a normal start. I don't know how te enter to the startup manager or its options, as there won't be any.
