The most efficient and effective way to report problems or crashes in ThumbsPlus, or to request new features, is from within ThumbsPlus itself, since this includes program logs and other information about your ThumbsPlus and system configuration: Help - Submit Problem Report. If you're unable to run ThumbsPlus, please use the Windows start menu and select ThumbsPlus 10 - Utilities - ThumbsPlus 10 (Problem Report).
At the top of the bug report program, you can use the Configure button to set your email program preference. If ThumbsBug cannot send the mail automatically, just attach the .7z file, which includes logs, preference settings, crash info, and in some cases a screen shot, to an email using your existing email program or web-based email. Be sure the subject line has ThumbsPlus in it, and send it to sup...@thumbsplus.com.
You may also email us directly at sup...@thumbsplus.com. Be sure to include information about what you're doing when the problem occurs, any error messages that you receive, and the running version of ThumbsPlus and Windows. Be sure to follow the instructions in notes about email below. Using the ThumbsPlus problem report form usually results in quicker resolution, since it includes information we may need.

We'll soon have a new newsletter signup available for information on releases and beta availability. Our homegrown mailing list software isn't compatible with our new remote host, so we'll be moving to a hosted application. We are still hard at work with and continue to update and test ThumbsPlus v11 in-house. However, it is taking far longer than we hoped to get to a point where we are comfortable releasing a public beta.
With a single developer, the process of upgrading ThumbsPlus to a true 64-bit program (while still offering support for 32 bit operating systems) has been a huge undertaking. Not only did we not anticipate the difficulty of this job, we weren't aware that some of the 32-bit libraries we use are not available as 64-bit libraries, or are explensive. The required workarounds are more complex and difficult than we expected. But, as with all previous major releases of ThumbsPlus, the list of fixes, updated features, and new options in version 11 is a huge one.

I am a big fan of all of us sharing our work and ideas with the community, and recently a lot of folks have generously offered their movie genre thumbs to the board. I love that idea and will throw mine in as well. There are a lot of posts with them scattered about. Perhaps we need a permanent thread for them so people can find them easily? Here are some thumbs for movie collections that I have made. The individual jpegs are 240x360.Each of the collections also has an an associated linksheet for those of you using themes that can take adavantage of them. The linksheets are 1280x720. If you are unclear of how to use linksheets for folders, a quick search of the board should get you the information you need. The linksheets are obviously not nescessary and you can just use the the thumbs.
@DeVicous - Thanks Dev, that means a lot. As I assume you can tell, I was inspired by your theme and tried modeling my thumbs to match well with it. Sheesh, took me a long time to figure out the snakeskin look. Still loving Good Bye Black Mamba every day since you released it.
Top Level Thumbs and Linksheets
I realized that I had not put my top level media stuff up in my original post. If you are so inclined, you can get these at the link below. As always, if you are not using a linksheet theme, you can stll use the thumbs.

I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I stumbled across ThumbsPlus RC1 at -plus. As far as I know, ThumbsPlus was never officially released for Macintosh, with its short prospective career terminated before it reached the final release stage. RC1 (Release Candidate 1) was the final candidate for Macintosh release, being produced just before the Macintosh version of ThumbsPlus was killed. For a non-released piece of software, ThumbsPlus RC1 is exceptionally good. I have found no limitations, bugs or issues of any sort.
PicPops is a real treasure, albeit one with a rather unusual name given what it does. PicPops sports a clean and intuitive user interface, featuring simple and directly labeled control buttons and a large image viewing area. PicPops browses folders of images with ease, and renders those images at a reasonable, although not breakneck, speed.
PicPops would feature more prominently in my evaluation except for two drawbacks. First, it requires CarbonLib, which means it can only be run with Mac OS 8.6 or later, and second, it requires QuickTime 3 or later. The Mac OS 8.6 limitation implies of course that it can only be run on PPC Macs, which is a shame.
If the problem involves only a single file, it is not SO bad. If you know the Type and Creator codes of the application you want to use (for example, and sticking with JPEGs for illustrative purposes, if you want to use JPEGView to view the files, the Type and Creator codes are JPEG and JVWR respectively) you can use any one of dozens of drag and drop applications that were created for the purpose of changing the Type and Creator codes of a single file (even ResEdit if you are desperate!). But what if you have a whole FOLDER full of JPEGs that you want to view? It would be laborious, and tedious in the extreme to drag and drop each file, one by one, until they were all done. What is needed is a batch processing approach to changing Type and Creator codes.

At this point, you'll have to manually install this fix, so you'llneed to be familiar with using Windows Explorer to rename and copy fileson your computer. If this seems too difficult, try Picture Window to get the same effect.
Note that if you install a new imaging program or upgrade an old one, it might install its own PCDLIB32.DLL. This can be tricky to deal with.The new software might add a new DLL, or overwrite the fixed one. The rightthing to do is to uninstall this fix before installing the new software. Thenreinstall the fix after the new software has been installed.
