Hi everybody,

sorry for the "mail-storm", but after EFORT a lot has advanced, so we need to focus on FORTE for a little bit now (I think).

Regarding the EEP timeline:

- The draft is at open discussion: everyones is going to present them to their national societies for discussion, so I find it appropriate to discussion with all of you

- Please send me your feedback of your impression of this draft (feel free to pose any question that you have, for more absurd that it may seem)

- My questions at the moment are the following:

1 - Before the final EBOT examination, how are they planning to evaluate progress in skills? Are they going to set guidelines for evaluation to set the standards? Is a central/local monitoring of training centers going to be purposed?

2 - Why is it necessary to attribute a differentiation of FEBOT? Why FEBOT-Uk, FEBOT Switzerland,etc; and not only FEBOT for all countries?

Guys, I'll wait until friday for your replies. If not I'll move forward with FOrTE's comments on EEP draft.

I am glad to hear that you represented FORTE at EEP. I will look at it then send my suggestions.

Hi guys, again!! :)

Sorry for the massacre! But I've just arrived from vacation, so a lot of energy and patience to profit from :)

Since no one made further suggestions, I'm going to send the following remarks to the EEP committee in the name of FOrTE:

1 - Before the final EBOT examination, how is the progress in skills going to be evaluated? 

We think that a standard of evaluation throughout the residency program should be set. To achieve this goal, guidelines for evaluation should be produced, and a monitoring/coaching of training centers and trainers, by a central european board, should be in order.

2 - We feel that a differentiation of the title "FEBOT" (e.g. FEBOT-UK, FEBOT Switzerland,etc) will defeat the purpose of unifying education throughout Europe. We agree each national society should have a strong input in their exams and evaluations, but the end result should be the same for every country - FEBOT.
