We met briefly in London and spoke about possible collaborations between FORTE and Medical Insights. 

As you may recall, we are the company that has developed the iOS iPad app called Insights Orthopedics.

Here, you will find a link to our corporate video on youtube 

I wanted to touch base and possibly set up a call to discuss things further.

In particular, when we spoke in London, we talked about how both our organisations could benefit from developing a partnership

I have put in CC two people from Medical Insights who I think can contribute to the possible discussion. 

• Anh Huynh, who is based in our Singapore office is in charge of marketing, involved in sales activities and is the person leading the development of the Medical Insights Ambassador network.
   
• Alex Hatebur who not only is one of the 2 founders of Medical Insights, but is also the person responsible for building fruitful partnerships with associations and business partners. 

The idea would be to have an open discussion on how things could move further in the months to come.

Hi,

I've downloaded their app in the EFORT congress of Istanbul, because of the flyers. I've browsed and used for some minutes. I don't find it very interesting, honestly. I prefer QxMD. Anyway, I think it may be of interest! We need to define what we want/need from them. 

In the discussion we've had with him (Alessio) in EFORT London, I've asked if they could provide free access to journals for FORTE users. Gazi you were there - he basically said that this wasn't possible. So, in my limited point of view, the only thing we can benefit from them is exposure and advertisement  to our events and publications. They will benefit with visit from our members. I think it's a fair exchange. 

Any other ideas?

To be honest, I do not know about them. Does anyone heard about them before?

Anyway, I believe there is no harm to discuss with them and see how we can collaborate.!

Do you have an input on how do they believe they can help us? Or vice-versa what do they expect from us?

I think it is great to initiate a discussion to hear what they have to offer us. We need to think as well what we can ask from them?

Can somebody prepare a small report on who they are and what they are doing?

what the are basicly doing is that they are offering an organized way of searching

orthopedic literature, news, future events and other orthopedic stuff. 

they include, pubmed, several news sites, wiley, springer, clinical trails, audio podcasts and so on. 

so you don't have to go to all these websites, and see everything organized in one place. 

we can say that they are the ortopedic version of the phenomenon app called 'flipboard'.

but, as of today, they are not doing it perfectly and they are not very well known. 

but, the 'insights othopedics' may or may not be a huge thing in the future. 

so, there are 4 possible scenarios:

1) we do not collaborate with them, and they never become huge --> OK

2) we do collaborate with them, and they never become huge --> OK, NOT A LOSS FOR US

3) we do collaborate with them, and they become huge --> PERFECT

4) we do not collaborate with them, and they become huge --> A MISSED OPPORTUNITY

so, I think we should collaborate. 

we should advertise them and they should advertise us.
