Just a reminder that the FTC Alt.Net MVC Fest is Tonight!
Expect to hear tales of:
- Models, Views and Controllers oh my!
- NHibernate vs. Subsonic!
- opinionated vs. indifferent POCO's
- Fluent Interfaces!
- tales from the crypt!
(and anything else vaguely related to .NET)
Hope to see you there - btw there will be beer (Thanks Nick!)
Oh - it's at 409 Mason Ct, Suite 127 - "DTS Agile"

I'm there. MVC AND (NHibernate OR SubSonic) is a topic of interest from my end.
Word Up!
Hope all of your Thankgiving day festivities were good. I'm pretty
sure I gained about 5 pounds that day, just what I needed.
Well, it's one more week until the next dork fest.

It looks like we'll be targeting MVC and whatever else you guys wanna
discuss.
I'd love to go over thoughts on testing, at all levels, how much is
too much slash not enough, stuff like that;. What frameworks are out
there for testing javascript, and .NET code. I've used jsUnit for
javascript unit testing with some success on personal projects. Moq
and RhinoMocks have served me well along with NUnit. Wouldn't mind
knowing why some of us don't test, is it just technical? too steep of
a learning curve? don't have time for it cuz it takes too long?
I'd love to tackle the problem of multiple solutions, and how to
integrate common projects for those solutions. We're doing that now,
and I'm not entirely in love with how we're going about doing it, so
any ideas on that would be great. The common projects are like common
controls, tools, and infrastructure pieces, like a custom ViewPage
used in multiple solutions.
Anyone else have stuff they wanna go over?
Anyone else actually gonna show up? How bout pinging this email if
you're gonna show up. That way we can gauge whether or not we should
postpone the meeting. Sound like a plan?
Thanks for listening!
Peace Out,
