Hi All!

After chatting with Dave B we thought it might be a good idea for the
next meeting to tackle a single software problem we've all encountered
before, and try to solve it collaboratively. Perhaps we can all be
thinking of something we've run up against in our daily work
activities that ended up with a subpar solution.

I'm always up for presentations, for kicks I can have a couple of
talks ready to go(WTF is WPF? Maintainable application tests?) if we
don't do the group programming dealio. Darrin mentioned he wanted to
do a talk on the Entity Framework which I'd be interested in hearing
about sometime. I remember someone was gonna do a Threading
presentation or something, that'd be fun.

I spoke to Levi and he mentioned that it would be a good idea to do
sort of a roll call prior to the next meeting to figure out if it
needs to be rescheduled to accomodate more people. He also suggested
another good idea, that we send out a meeting request so that each of
our calendar apps can register the meeting.

Anyone else have any ideas, comments, suggestions?

Not that it matters much, but I'll be out of town the the 5th - 9th of
Dec., getting back late the evening of our next meeting. If there an
effort to shift the date to the 10th, or another week, I'd be in favor
of that.

Regarding problems to discuss/solve, I've been curious how other dev
groups go about managing resources that are required by more than on
related app or suite of apps. Those resources could include
libraries, custom controls, security components, etc. How are various
concerns managed when a core/common framework is shared between apps
that are different in terms of environment, deployment, location, etc?

Since you're the beer hookup, I vote for the 10th!

As for topics, if there's beer, we can talk about anything... ;-) (Although MVC silliness is a preference)
