An additional request regarding soliciting sponsorships and donations for July’s NSA conference in Fort Worth. If you do talk to a company, please notify NSA Executive Director Tammy Flores (copied on this message) of who you’re talking to and current status. This way, Tammy can track the companies being contacted, and so (1) hopefully, we won’t have 10 people contacting JC Penney, for example, for a donation, and (2) if a company does contribute, Tammy will have a record of it for next year’s conference so that she can contact them again.
For example, say I contact Radio Shack today for a donation. Send Tammy a short e-mail with the following:
Jeff Goodman contacted Radio Shack on 4-22 for a contribution; status pending.
And say in 2 weeks Radio Shack contributed a $100 gift card, I’d send Tammy the following:
May 6 – received a $100 gift card from Radio Shack; Radio Shack contact person is Jane Smith (Jane....@RadioShack.com)
