POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is for a lead software developer for the Central Services group.
The purpose of this group is to build and maintain a set of services that are
made available throughout the enterprise. This is an opportunity to help build
an SOA architecture backed by an event-driven ESB. The right person in this
position will have an enterprise-wide impact.This development this group takes
on is strategic in nature, must be of the highest quality, scalable, and highly
available. Test Driven Development is a must. We use the latest tools on the
Microsoft platform, including the latest versions of Visual Studio, Team
Foundation Server, and BizTalk. If you like working with the latest tools,
solving difficult problems, and working at an enterprise level, you may be a
good candidate. The role of this position is to work as a leading member of the
development team that reports directly to the Senior Manager of Central
Services. Developers in this role work on components that are consumed by multiple
teams.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Maintain technical proficiency on a wide variety of technologies, including
but not limited to C#, WCF, LINQ, BizTalk, and relational databases including
Oracle and SQL Server.
-Maintain proficiency in a wide variety of processes and methodologies,
including but not limited to Scrum, traditional waterfall, software quality
best practices, and test driven development.
-Using primarily Microsoft technologies, build reusable web services and
components that are made available Enterprise wide.
-Refactor existing web services and components to meet Enterprise standards.
-Work effectively as a member of a multi-role team. Must be able to work
effectively with other developers, solution architects, enterprise architects,
business analysts, project managers, testers, customers, and management. Must
have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have excellent
team building skills.
-Function as a development lead or architect as required.
